At twenty-one, with the newness of springtime ahead of her, Jacetta (Jaci) Winters made a wrong choice that left her hopes and dreams in ashes.
But she moved on, survived and flourished – except in the area of relationships. Two decades later, after countless disappointing forays into the dating scene, she is at the point of giving up after concluding that her bad choice destroyed all possibility that God would send someone special into her life.
But Jason Gilmore suddenly comes into her life, bringing changes and the hope of another springtime. But the storms that often accompany seasonal changes erupt all around her, and Jaci must make another choice: Let fear and doubt keep her in an old familiar season, or by faith step into the promises the new season offers.
The future beckons, the past grips, and present occurrences stir confusion and trouble, tempting Jaci to run back to her hiding place and stay there.
Seasons is a wonderful and exciting story that reminds us of God’s merciful and restorative power in all of our circumstances. You will be filled with the assurance that it is always too soon to give up, and filled with renewed faith that your own season can and will change.
Be encouraged, inspired and entertained as you discover how Jaci handles her ‘Seasons’.
Drama, intrigue, suspense…Seasons has it All!
Hello Fellow Bloggers
I’m so glad you’ve decided to visit, and I hope you will blog with me!
In my debut novel, ‘Seasons’, the underlying message is that we should never give up – whether it’s a difficult season, or a season that’s so enjoyable, we are tempted to become complacent, believing it will last forever.
Characters, Jaci and Jason demonstrate through their relative and realistic story, which so many readers identify with, that seasons are going to eventually change and that we should, through it all, trust the God who controls the timing and longevity of each and every season.
Presently, I am happy to present my latest novel, ‘Now and Then, Again’. Characters Vann and Mitch must escape the ruts in their souls where hidden strongholds of unforgiveness, hurt, anger, hopelessness and other negative emotions have kept them shackled to the past for waaaaaay too long.
Can’t we TALK our Christian TALK with pride? Can’t we strut in arrogance when nothing hits us in the face that we can’t handle. But when a situation, person, etc. presents us with a challenge so enormous that our WALK begins to waver, we are sooo tempted to run back to wallow in the rut and embrace our rut-buddies.
The bottom line…as these characters in ‘Now and Then, Again’ discover…we have to trust the God of yesterday, today and forever to help us deal with past issues before we can move forward in HIS plan and purpose.
Tell me…are you in a rut? Is is keeping you from pursuing God’s best?
Let me hear from You.
Blessings
Bonnie

I loved Seasons from the first page. Seasons holds a special place in my heart. I am now (as in today) reading your novel for the 5th time. I was in the midst of an abusive marriage and saw no way out. But, thank God, I found courage in your book. The Godly love being displayed throughout your book, the romance, the faith, all taught me to hold on, be strong, wait for God to move, and have faith in knowing that any situation can turn around if you just be patient and trust in the Lord. From your novel, my heart flutters at the thought of meeting my own mate who loves the Lord and can in turn love me. Just having this desire, and having renewed faith, patience and trust in God, I was able to find courage to walk away from that ungodly marriage. I am now waiting for my Jason Gilmore. What I like most about your book is that it taught me that we all make mistakes, we all have faults, but we all have a chance to not only know God, but live Godly. It also taught me to “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart” Psalm 27:14
I recently purchased Now and Then Again, and I had a hard time putting it down. I picked it up one day and did not put it down until the next night, when I finished it. It was a blessing. I have shared with others that both novels are my favorite of all I have ever read (for different reasons) so God Bless You Bonnie Hopkins. I live in Houston, near Tomball, and work so close to Spring, Texas that I could relate to the locations in Now and Then Again. This added to my love for the novel. I was truly blessed. Bonnie, you are my idol. Continue to let God use you. Continue to bless others through your books. Please!
I am now in the process of writing my first novel. I am taking baby steps, writing all of my ideas down and praying deligently. Pray for me and with me. I read on a website that Bonnie Hopkins mentors young writers. Is there any information on this.
Keep up the great writing Bonnie!
